Ace The Trade Test
Putting your best foot forward during the trade test can be daunting. How are you expected to perform well in an unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar products?
Well lucky for you, you have trained with the best! The French have set you up for success with comprehensive knowledge and training, you just have to put some time and energy into your preparation.
Here are some techniques you can utilise to ace the trade test:
- Wear your uniform – this will make you feel comfortable, at home and ready to perform treatments
- Ensure that you have brushed up on your consultation techniques including skin analysis/terminology and the correct way to assess skin types and conditions – with the rise of advanced skincare treatments and machinery you will need to showcase your attention to detail
- A milky cleanser is a milky cleanser, is it not? All products have a common theme and ingredient check list so be sure to know what these are so you can pick up that milky cleanser confidently and use it for your first cleanse!
- Prescriptions for clientele are in high demand – it is the backbone of a good business. 70% of results are homecare – your clients success lies in the regular use of a professional product
- With current events your manager is looking for a skillset that includes not only client comfort but a definite emphasis on safe hygiene practices
- Focus on your client so that the timing flows – an efficient therapist is a productive therapist
- Even if you are in a more casual environment it is best practice to always be professional! Treat all clientele the same and the rebooking will naturally follow
As a final note, use the trade test as practice. Remember when you first turned up at The Academy and you couldn’t perform a facial? Well interviews and trade tests are similar. They are a skill that you can ‘fine tune’ each time.
